ERIN DEDICATES A SONG TO KAREN DRUCKER In honor of Karen's Grace Note Award, Erin wrote a high-energy and easy to learn gospel tune. ERIN WINS TWO MORE AWARDS! Actually, two - because they're like potato chips - you can't have just one. The Unisong International Songwriting Contest recognized two of Erin's tunes from the That Good Thing album: Someplace to Go On Sunday (an honorable mention in the social/political category) and You are There (a Top 20 finalist in the jazz/blues category. ERIN LEADS A MUSIC FORUM! Erin and directing partner Cathy Bleecker hosted the 2006 Sacred Music Leadership Forum at Seattle Unity. Turnout was excellent and the forum proved extremely fruitful for everyone. 26 representatives from 16 different organizations attended, sharing their wealth of resources and ideas, including marketing and artist contact lists, repertoire and organizational tools galore, presentations on expanding worship expression through drama, movement, chant and much more. ERIN GETS PUBLISHED! Here's a fine how do you do - Seattle Unity recently had a prosperity campaign called Embracing Generosity, and as part of it, Erin gifted a collection of original singalongs to her local music director colleagues. On a lark, she also sent one of these modest little demo cd's to Richard Mekdeci, from the Unity headquarters music team in Missouri. So he published two of the songs!
